The AS Level Literature course is straining to begin and here is some information for the folk who have decided to read AS Lit this year.
Mr. Stevenson's AS students will be reading THE KITE RUNNER by Khaled Hosseini, the AQA selected poems of W.H AUDEN, and the play THE CARETAKER by Harold Pinter.
Mr.Richardson's AS students will be reading THE GREAT GATSBY by F.Scott Fitzgerald, THE RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER by S.T.Coleridge, and the play JERUSALEM by Jez Butterworth.
WE are not sure who is in which group as yet but when the dust has settled and the AS roller coaster creaks forward, these are the texts that students will be confronting at BGS.
We hope all students have had a wonderful summer, despite Michael Gove's GCSE insanity, and we can't wait to start messing with your head...in a good way...obviously.
See you all soon.
