I made this film last year to document the work of ALEC GILL. This HULL photographer captured the culture of Hull's fishing industry and documented the culture of the Hessle Road community. What does his work tell us about the significance of culture? How does his work compare with the aim of Tony Harrison's poetry? Are they both creating art for a similar audience? How do both represent working-class experience?
