OTHELLO..Year12..SEPT 18..



















The first couple of sessions have involved reading the opening Act of the play. Students need to be aware of the key moments in Act One Scene One/Two/Three and consider how Shakespeare represents:
  • VENICE
  • IAGO
  • OTHELLO
  • DESDEMONA
Students need to consider how Shakespeare is shaping the drama. Students need to be aware of the significance of Iago's soliloquy that concludes the First Act. Why is this use of dramatic form so significant?
