Today's session was an introduction to Tony Harrison and the session explored the historical context of the Thatcher moment. HOMEWORK: READ V and read Gray's ELEGY IN A COUNTRY CHURCHYARD. Students must be familiar with the similarities between this famous 18th Century poem and Harrison's 20th Century version.
